A message
from the Skipper
Summertime ... Sunshine, music, drinks food and friends ... and all that right beside the Delta waters! Let's head for Happy Harbor! On August 16th at 2 p.m. we will celebrate summer with a gig at Happy Harbor on Brannan Island. This place has really good food, really good people and features really good bands:) Be there or be bored. For those who fear getting lost, just use your good old Google maps and you'll be there in no time. We look forward to seeing you all.
Bud Minton who has played bass with MSIF for over twenty years has left the band and headed east for the other shore. We miss him like crazy! After that many years you feel like you left your heart on someone's doorstep. Bryan Weiss has stepped into Bud's shoes and is doing a great job despite the pressure of filling some pretty big shoes. Mike Lyons has joined this band of Gypsies in the percussion slot and is kicking some proverbial booty. I am really proud of the sounds these guys are putting out, and, in short order, I might add. We will be announcing more dates and new venues soon as they get inked. We are also returning to some old ports that we have not tied up in awhile. We have decided that it is much too late to quit this musical journey and we will continue to bring our nautical party to a yacht club near you as long as you will have us. Mui Mahalo The Skipper |
