MAYOR'S FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
Alameda, California
July 4, 2000
Life, death, taxes, and Alameda's 4th of July Parade! Okay, so Alameda's
first 4th of July parade is only 25 years old. This year the parade included
more than 160 entries and over 150,000 spectators. The parade is just
the first event of a full day celebration including block parties, barbecues,
and live music. Michael Sea and Island Fever, aboard the Kiwanis float,
won 2nd place in the Civilian Bands catagory.

Ken Hale came all the way from Los Angeles to hang out
with his boyz and play music. Does this sound familar?
|

Michael Sea and Rodney Moore (soundman). Unlike the rest of the band, Rodney
is a very sound man. |

Somebody help Bud Minton (on bass) stand. It's pretty early in da morning!
Where's the coffee! |
| |

Ken Hale is ready to go! "What the heck is the hold up?" he
demands to know!
|

We're off! Everybody hang on!. |
| |
The crowd pateiently awaits the
band.
|

Did you know that Alameda is an Island! Check out
the palm trees in the background. We live on a big round ball.

Now we're really warmed up! Michael and Jim are especially on fuego! |

"Let's go to carnival..." |
| |

Okay, now the rest of the band is warmed up!
|

"Yo, yo, yo..." |
